Our mission here at the PawsCienda Pet Resort has always been to maintain a clean & safe environment for our guests.  However, we are practicing additional sanitary measures to keep our staff, pets in our care and our customers safe and healthy.

Cleanliness

​

Our standards for maintaining proper cleanliness for our pets is state of the art. 

​

• Just a few months ago we installed our new PetAirapy system. PetAirapy is a company that focuses on air and surface sanitization for the animal care industry. We have installed these units in the bunkhouse, suites, and cat boarding areas. They are designed to “give constant exposure of UV-C germicidal energy with proper air circulation to effectively kill pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and mold in the air stream.” (PetAirapy, LLC)  These will help ensure that your pet is in a safe and healthy environment.

 

• Our guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing are top notch.  Our boarding, training, grooming and daycamp environments are thoroughly sanitized after every dog leaves.

 

• Water and food bowls are cleaned and sanitized after each use.

 

Keeping you and your dog healthy

 

Fortunately there is no evidence of dogs catching the COVID-19 virus. But we are taking extra safety precautions:

​

• When dropping your dog off, please refrain from bringing additional belongings.  At this time, we will only be able to accept your dog’s food.  Even collars and leashes should be taken home with you.

 

• We are constantly cleaning and disinfecting our common surfaces in our front office area.

 

• Our full time staff have been advised to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing at the PawsCienda, as well as in their personal lives.

 

• For any of our grooming clients who are considered high risk for COVID-19 and would like for us to pick up their dogs for grooming, please give us a call at (804) 883-7245.

 

• We will also be offering drop off ‘curb service’ for grooming and daycamp dogs for those of you that would rather stay in your vehicle. We can process your payment over the phone if you like.
