Dental Care

You may think it's normal for your pet to have "doggy breath," however it can be a common indicator of dental disease. Bacteria are the main cause of bad breath, but it will also lead to plaque and tartar buildup on your pet's teeth and reddened gums. It can cause your pet difficulty chewing or loose/missing teeth. Dental hygiene is more important to your pet's health than you may realize. It can be tied to other serious health issues such as heart and kidney disease. You have options! You can bring your pet in for regular teeth cleanings. Call us today to schedule your appointment (804) 883-7245.

A Dog’s Bedtime Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep, The king-sized bed is soft and deep. I sleep right in the center groove, My human beings can hardly move. I’ve trapped their legs, they’re tucked in tight, And here is where I pass the night. No one disturbs me or dares intrude, Til morning comes and “I want food!” I sneak up slowly to begin, And nibble on my human’s chin. For morning’s here, it’s time to play, I always seem to get my way. So thank you God, for giving me, This human person that I see. The one who hugs me and holds me tight, And shares their bed with me at night. —Anonymous
